About Me & My Cats

Hello, my name is Maxine Lumkin. Im 51 years old & have 5 wonderful, mischievous cats. They all have very different personalities and are all very loving and full of life, i cant imagine being without them! Here they are from youngest to oldest.

Saffi

Saffi is an Apricot Oriental pedigree and is just over a year old. She can be very naughty and always wants to play, Her mum and dad are champions and Saffi has already won 2 firsts at her debut cat show.

Mogwai

Moggers is 4 years old and loves cat treats and and her cat bed, she rarely moves from it! If allowed she will eat all the cats food and then look for more. She is overweight but very cute and loving. She has a beautiful kalamanca coat and is very whiskery, resembling a giant hairy tarantula.

Cara

Cara is a small cute tortoiseshell puss and i rescued her from a caravan site in the middle of November. She was very thin and close to death and it took a lot of care and attention to get her healthy. She is Saffi’s best friend and playmate. She is 5 years old.

Reuben

Reuben is a cream British Shorthair with a big bushy tail. He is a very laid back placid fellow with a very loud purr and a love of gourmet cat food. He looks after Saffi and keeps her ears clean!

Fiochmhar (Feeks)

Feeks is my oldest cat at nearly 16 years. His name is Gaelic and means ‘Fierce’. He used to live up to his name, always in fights and at the centre of any trouble. These days he leads a much more sedate life. Unfortunately he has a lot of health problems now, his heart is bad and he has to have thyroxin every day.

(01/01/10) Sadly Feeks died today, his recent bone cancer had spread suddenly. He is badly missed but went very peacefully, I keep thinking I have seen him out of the corner of my eye and call his name without thinking, it hurts, he was my good close friend for a so long and I miss him so much. We went through a lot together but i could tell he could not take anymore. Thank God I have some pictures of him.
